So far there has been a narration of many incidents of removing devotee’s sorrow and also of performing miracles. Removal of sorrows is, of course, a function of any sage, but why perform miracles? Devotees are of many types. Educated and discerning who come to Baba for words of solace. There are uneducated and unsophisticated who may not understand the scriptures of lectures. For such, only a miracle will bring them nearer to Baba and once they come to him, he can mould them, coach them and advise them. Earlier sadhus like Shri Saibaba, Shri Nityananda Swami and Shri Siddharood Swamy also had followed the same method.
Baba was a bom bachelor, with parents unknown and had no interest in wealth and family. His sole interest was in solving the problems o f devotees who approached him and put them on the road to devotion. To fulfil this interest and create confidence in devotees he performed miracles. These miracles have been chronicled in this book for the same reason, bringing the devotees to Baba with full confidence that devotion to Baba and blessings will lead to all-round benevolence and happiness of devotees. If this happens and more and more devotees come to Baba with faith. This book would have served the purpose.
